Can doors be equipped with Sensys and Intermat 110° hinges together?

No, this is because of different kinematics of Sensys and Intermat 110° hinges not possible.

    • Explanation: The kinematic describes the hinge specific movement of a door. During opening of a door equipped with multi pivot hinges space or a reveal next to the door is necessary as the door moves to the side during opening. Depending on this kinematics the reveal is big or less.
    • Identification: The kinematics is shown by the last two digits of the 4 digit product code. Only hinges with identical third and forth digit can be installed at one door.
    • Example: Sensys hinge 8645i and Intermat 9943 can not be combined at one door, as the last two digits are not identical (xx45 and xx43).

Is a mix installation of Sensys hinges with and without Silent System to one door possible?

Sensys contain a perfect Silent System for big, heavy and little, leight doors. A mix installation from technical side does not make sense! Anyhow some customers do mix application because of cost reasons. As the soft closing effect mainly depends on closing velocity, door weight and door dimension we recommend in this cases a sample test in order that the customer do a descision on his own.

Does Sensys hinges without closing function have no Silent System as well?

Yes, Sensys hinges without closing function have no Silent System as well because the closing function would be neccessary to control the Silent System during closing movement of the door.

    • Background: A hinge without closing function has in other words no spring. This spring is necessary for a automatic closing. That's why this hinge variant is used for push to open function commonly.
    • Useful to know: Next to the hinge variant Sensys without closing function the variant Sensys without Silent System is available also. In differentiation this variant has a closing function (spring) but no soft close function.
